Mizucon 2020 Postponed

Good Afternoon Mizucon fans, As a nonprofit group of individuals wanting to bring the our community together, our first priority is the health and safety of all who attend our show. With news in the world changing daily, we waited, hoping for a positive turn in events. Now with less than thirty days out from our May show we’ve come to the decision to postpone our show to later in the year. Our official dates will be announced in the next week pending confirmation with our venue, but Mizucon 2020 will most likely take place in late August. We ask for your patience and understanding as we have many moving parts such as adjusting contracts, waivers, orders and insurance to work through.
Some good news: Badge ribbon preorders, panel submissions, and cosplay contest applications will all be reopened.
With all these new updates we are sure you may have questions. Let us try to answer as many as we can.
Q: I’ve preregistered for a weekend pass or VIP pass; what happens to my ticket? A: Your ticket will be valid for our show later this year.
Q: What if I have purchased a ticket and now cannot attend the new 2020 dates?
A: According to our registration guidelines: Buying and/or using any pass to enter Mizucon means you have read and understood the Convention Rules policy. Registrations are non-refundable, non-replaceable, and non-transferable. However we will be allowing individuals who have registered prior to 4/24/20 to transfer their ticket/tickets to other attendees. Q: I’ve registered for an artist ally or Vendor booth, what happens to my space?
A: Your table is still reserved for our 2020 dates, once announced. Our Vendor coordinator will be in contact shortly, but if you have any additional questions please email us at: exhibitors@mizucon.com
Q: I’ve reserved a hotel room for the convention, can I transfer it?
A: Once our contract is finalized, attendees will be able to contact the hotel and have their nights transferred.
Q: I’ve registered to volunteer or host a panel; what happens if I cannot attend the new dates?
A: We have your information and our various coordinators will be in contact shortly to confirm dates and provide options.
