The flash of steel, as blades meet under a blazing sun. A battle fought over honor… or money. An enemy well met. A job well done. Good friends. Good times. You’ll find all this and more with The Royal Chessmen. Come back to a time when honor was worth dying for; a princess (or a prince) was a prize worth seeking; and chivalry was far from dead. The Royal Chessmen is an acting troupe who portrays the life of another time through character interaction, staged combat, and living chess games. From King Arthur’s Round Table, to King Henry’s wives, to Blackbeard’s pirate ship, we span the ages.

Student by day and cosplayer by night, Cindy (cosplay name: xXSnowFrostXx) has been cosplaying for over 7 years with almost 100+ costumes under her belt. She has a great love for crafting and being able to bring characters to life with a portfolio of a variety of anime and game characters.
Craftsmanship and dedication are key in cosplay for her. She strives to produce quality costumes and is always learning new methods and techniques to expand her skills in fabrication, prop making, wig styling, and armor construction. She also loves sharing her knowledge and helping others to create beautiful costumes.
She believes that cosplay is made through teamwork and deeply encourages strong community and collaboration with other cosplayers as well as photographers, artists, handlers, and fans. She loves being a photography assistant, helping out other cosplayers at shoots and cons, as well as volunteering at conventions. Cosplay can be a solo act but its much more fun with friends and to be able to work with other talented personalities

Ring the bell! Coming to the booth, from Wichita, Kansas, weighing in at (an undisclosed weight, probably less than your figma collection) pounds, It’s Caitlynn French! Caitlynn is new to the scene, having debuted in 2012 as Qumola from Book of Bantorra. She’s ran the ropes and trained hard to conquer roles such as Hana Isuzu (Girls Und Panzer), Matsurika Shinouji (Maria-Holic, Maria-Holic Alive), Tina Sprout (Black Bullet), Mei Tachibana (Say “I love you”), Mio and Midori Nishizono (Little Busters, Little Busters Refrain), Sakura Inami (Beyond the Boundary), Ai Astin (Sunday Without God) and Miyu Edelfelt (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya). She is most known as the voice behind the tiny genius Shiro, 1/2 of the infamous duo in No Game No Life.
Caitlynn recuperates from her time in the booth by playing video games, and watching professional wrestling. She goes through grueling vocal conditioning playing tabletop roleplaying games, and screaming obscenities at the TV during Monday Night RAW. When doing none of those, she likes to dress up like a Superhero with Heroes of Texas. It is unconfirmed, but highly suspected, her blood is pure caffeinated Pepsi. Catch more of this rising star on facebook and twitter, and watch as Caitlynn grabs the VO world by the ears and gives it something it won’t soon forget.
Want to know more? Go to www.CaitlynnFrench.com to check out her resume, demos, work, weekly blog, & social media links.
Please welcome Caitlynn French to MizuCon 2016!

Started cosplaying in 2012 as a Power Ranger and at that point my life has changed since then. I started teaching myself how to sew and create many things through cosplay. My favorite part of cosplay is seeing kids faces brighten up when they see their favorite Superhero or Character come to life. I try to motivate people with my cosplay Diet/Workout tips to help them make a difference in themselves. Overall I love meeting new people and facing new experiences throughout this journey. I’m just your friendly neighborhood nerdy Mexican who likes playing dress up.
